Paul Bompard was born in Washington D.C. in 1952 and has lived in London, Geneva, Philadelphia, Rome and Tel Aviv. His photographs have appeared in one-man exhibitions in Rome and Geneva and with other artists' work in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Brussels and Geneva. He mostly works with a view camera, developing and printing himself in a traditional darkroom. All the prints shown here are printed on 30x40 cm fibre-based paper, toned in selenium. Much larger prints, for exhibitions or clients, are ink-jet printed from a scan of the original negative, and than mounted on aluminum sheet with a polyester protection. Each photograph is limited to 25 signed and numbered prints.
